Just a quick Ask AC this week as I am busy studying up for the NBA season. We are two weeks away from opening night and already I can hear Gary Payton whining about fouls, I can see Paul Pierce dribbling off of his leg, and most importantly I can envision Kobe Bryant going 3rd input with an unsuspecting hotel maid. Yes, these things get me excited, not as excited as an invitation to a Minnesota Vikings’ recreational cruise (and you can get your wagercom.com “Free Smoot” or “I partied with Smoot” t-shirts here), but excited nonetheless.
 Has an NBA player ever been arrested during the season?

Perhaps you missed the Kobe incident from 2 years ago because you were on the planet Uranus searching for dingleberries but several NBA players have been arrested during the year. Heck, the Celtics Tony Allen was arrested just last week in pre-season as a warm up. Anyway, the NBA does crime like Janine Lindemulder does women and Taylor Rain does anal, it is their specialty. Check out this brilliant site http://sports-law.blogspot.com/2005/07/nba-players-that-get-in-trouble-with_20.html which shows an exhaustive list of recent NBA players and their scrapes with the law (and how did Brad “Fifi” Lohaus make that list? Really, wow, well done Brad, I think, I wonder if he hit her with his purse).
Speaking of the NBA and crime, I am sure you all saw the story of a guy who was sentenced to 30 years in prison and then requested the judge give him 33 on honor of his favorite player Larry Bird’s number . Makes me glad Robert Parish (#00) was my favorite player growing up in case I find myself in that situation.
 If you were choosing the All-time Canadian basketball team, and had to choose a back-up center to Jamaal Magloire, would you choose Mike Smrek or Bill Wennington?

Hmm, is Todd Maculloch not available? This really may be the best question I have ever received, mainly because you were either on crack when you wrote it or are mentally deranged, or both. If I had to choose, and believe me, it is not a choice I recommend, I would have to go with Wennington because of his 3 NBA championship rings compared to Smrek’s 2 (as an aside, do you think the fact that these two goofballs have 5 rings between them drives Charles Barkley crazy?). Plus Wennington actually got some run while Smrek only saw the court when the game was well out of hand and Magic was in the locker room banging groupies. While Greg Kite may have been the Celtics victory cigar, I believe Mike Smrek was known in LA as the victory condom.
AC, Trent Green has been crapping all over my fantasy team and I wanted to know if you knew how much he would be worth if you cut him up, ground him up and sold him as hamburger helper. I hate him.

Interesting, but I am not sure there is a market for Trent “Soylent” Green meat (and yes I said meat). Perhaps you should seek help, and by help, I mean professional help since we all know that if any QB deserves that fate it is Duante. Personally, if I were you (and let me be 100% clear that I am glad I am not, unless you are banging a hot chick, and then of course forget what I just said), I would think about something simpler like sending Mr. Green some shit in a bag or simply trading for a better quarterback.
