04/23/04 Free NBA Playoff Picks Against the Spread

I am excited to announce the addition of our new NBA Basketball expert analyst AC Titticock. While leafing through resumes prior to selecting our new NBA Basketball gambling expert it became clear that AC was the man for the job. Not only did his analysis come across entertaining but it was clear he knew the NBA and about betting on basketball. I am confident you will find his outlook on the NBA extremely useful especially when it comes to his weekly free NBA Basketball picks against the spread. AC will be providing us with a weekly outlook and his free NBA Basketball picks on some of the weekend games each Friday and sometimes Saturday as well.

AC has started the NBA betting season with a 49% winning percentage against the spread on his NBA basketball picks after 150 games.

NBA BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS WEEK 2

The first week of the playoffs were very predictable. Celtics get smoked twice by the Pacers, Wolves show Melo that he’s not on the Road to the Final Four, and the Spurs taught Hubie that the coach of the year award is nice but at the end of the day it’s the players that matter. Anyway, here’s a quick recap of each series:

Celtics vs. Pacers: The Celtics are playing like the terrible team that they are the Pacers are just dominating them. Even without the anger that is Ron Artest, the pacers managed to overcome a sluggish first three quarters and treat the Celtics like they were little boys at the Neverland Ranch in the fourth quarter of game 2. In short, they got spanked. I wish the NBA would just call the series now and tell both teams to go home.

Hornets vs. Heat: I’ve been telling you for the past two months how improved this Heat team is. Nice little story, coach pulls together team of underachievers and leads them to victory. Problem is, they are beating the Hornets who have Tim Floyd diagramming plays on the sidelines. Plus Baron Davis gets his shot off more than Ron Jeremy. Hey Baron, pass the ball and let Magloire destroy the Heat big men. The Heat are playing well though, good enough to lose in 6 in the next round.

Pistons at Bucks: So the Bucks won one game. Big deal. Let’s see how close they are once Darko gets into the game.

Knicks vs. Nets: Isiah, Isiah, Isiah. I was one of those fooled by your moves and I was the one person that should have known better. You have no substance. You have always been a classless, mean spirited, whiny baby and there exists something called Karma (ok, you’ve won a bunch of championships and have a ton of cash but that’s all beside the point). Fact is, your team sucks and they are going to suck for a long time. On top of that, Vin Baker is now you’re problem. Hey, I know, why don’t you sign Shawn Kemp for next year and then bring back Chris Washburn to snort lines with all of them. Enjoy the summer Zeke, starts in two games.

Wolves vs. Denver: Wow, I didn’t think it would be this easy. Garnett is really really good for those of you who don’t know. I honestly can not figure out how he doesn’t score 70 points every night. Denver is a nice little team but they need an inside presence, plus I have been so underwhemed by Andre Miller. I thought this guy could be on of the best point guards in the league and instead he is very Chucky Atkinsesque. Oh well, I guess the Nuggets fans will always have Michael Adams.

Kings vs Wolves: I’ve got a serious question. Mark Cuban has tons of money, presumably a hot wife, and wealthy friends, so why is it that none of them can tell him to get a better haircut? The Moe Howard look went out in the 1940s. As for the game, I really can’t watch it. I just spend all of my time seething that I am not one of the Maloof brothers and thus nailing Britney Spears. These guys have the best lives, lucky bastards.

Spurs vs. Grizzlies: They’re the defending champs. In the playoffs, the best player wins. Nice job Hubie, glad I don’t have to hear you on tv anymore.

Lakers vs. Rockets: Well we’ve learned 3 things. Kobe can win anytime he wants to (unless it is with high school girls, nice move nimrod), Yao can play, and the Rockets just don’t get it. Seriously, this Rockets team is really good and yet they are going to get swept. Why? Francis and Mobley should be running the Lakers to death but instead they choose to play the Jim O’Brien offense (sucks for you Philly, hahaha) and play half court and launch threes. Terrible game planning. Give them a decent/real point guard to distribute the ball and they win the whole thing in two years.

On to the free NBA Playoff picks for Friday April 23rd:

Indiana -4.5 at Boston:

This isn’t even funny anymore. I’d take the Pacers -1,000 if that were the line.

Lakers -1.5 at Houston:

Like I said, Lakers are going to sweep.
