3/20/05 Week 20 Free NBA Picks

AC's outlook on the NBA is an entertaining original column featured here at Wagercom. If you are prone to NBA betting or even just an NBA fan, make sure you come back often to read his articles and free NBA Basketball picks against the spread. AC will be providing us with a weekly outlook during the basketball season including free NBA Basketball picks on some of the weekend games each Friday and Saturday.

Our NBA expert AC wrapped up the 2003-2004 NBA betting season with a 51% winning percentage against the spread on his basketball picks after 190 games and has improved that to a 54% winning percentage against the spread so far this season.

I know you are all caught up in March Madness but the NBA season is starting to get exciting. The Celtics have won 10 out of 11, the Sixers keep losing, and a Portland Trailblazer has not been arrested for at least 3 months. Strange times but good times to start watching the game.

Due to unforeseen business, I wasn’t able to pick games last night and I won’t have a column this week. Instead, I will pick games tonight and probably Sunday to make you some extra cash while watching the tournament.

On to Sunday's Free NBA Picks:

Well, I would have bee 3-0 last night if the Clippers hadn’t blown a 9 point fourth quarter lead. Thanks guys, I hope you never make the playoffs.

Phoenix -3 at Memphis:

Run and gun, run and gun. Add a national tv appearance with the Suns looking to show the people in the Midwest how they play and you have the makings of a blowout.

New Jersey at Indiana Over 174.5:

I know O’Neal and Tinsley are still out but if NBA teams can not score 174.5 points they should give back their jerseys. The best thing about this game is that I don’t have to watch it. Take the over and enjoy the NCAA tournament, Vermont anyone?

Seattle at Los Angeles Lakers Over 197.5:

Kobe is due and Ray Ray won’t want to be shown up.

Saturday's NBA Picks:

Chicago +6.5 at Philadelphia:

I know Curry is hurt and I know I always underestimate the Sixers but the Bulls have lost 3 in a row and should be fired up. Speaking of firing, my coaching nemesis and all around moron of a guy Jim O’Brien, is being destroyed by the local Philadelphia media. Apparently the players hate him, the front office hates him, the marketing department hates him, the ball boys hate him, his wife hates him, I hate him, Bill Cosby hates him, the media hates him, and most importantly the fans hate him. He is a terrible terrible coach as readers of my column should know and he is likely to get fired one year into a four year contract. What a bad idea to hire that guy, maybe I should switch careers (of course, that would assume I had a career, which I don’t, but that is not the point).

Sacramento at LA Clippers -2.5:

The Kings are not a good road team, but on the other hand the Clippers are not a good team. Brand should have a big game against Skinner and Miller, and Maggette may be able to take Mobley to the hole at will. The problem for the Clippers will be containing Bibby as the Brunson-Jaric-Gary Grant-Pooh Richardson foursome is just not very good.

Boston -4 at New Orleans:

The Celtics are due for a loss and this is a losable game. Add in the fact that in their 10-1 streak I haven’t gambled on any of their games, and there are many forces working against me here. However, New Orleans kind of sucks (and by kind of suck I mean they suck donkey dick) so take the Celtics and enjoy the show. Even Marcus Banks had had 2 good games in the last 5. This is either a blow out by the Hornets or a win by the Celtics so take Boston and hope they are not too cocky.
