4/01/05 Week 22 Free NBA Picks
AC's outlook on the NBA is an entertaining original column featured here at Wagercom. If you are prone to NBA betting or even just an NBA fan, make sure you come back often to read his articles and free NBA Basketball picks against the spread. AC will be providing us with a weekly outlook during the basketball season including free NBA Basketball picks on some of the weekend games each Friday and Saturday.
Our NBA expert AC wrapped up the 2003-2004 NBA betting season with a 51% winning percentage against the spread on his basketball picks after 190 games and has improved that to a 56% winning percentage against the spread so far this season.
I don’t have time for a full column this week as I am busy being a full-time student, part-time philosopher, and some-time activist for the upheaval of the dewey decimal system.
So instead, I will leave you with these two tidbits:
1. This is from an online ESPN chat with Al Jefferson
Question: Al, If you were stranded on an island, and could only bring one type of food, and one female celebrity, what, and who would they be ? thanks !
Al Jefferson: I'd have to say chicken and Ashanti!
I truly believe every NBA player should have to answer this question. Brilliant.
2. In my column on 5/16 I previewed ESPN’s Dream Job show with NBA players . As proof that I know this game, I predicted Dee Brown’s victory before the show ever aired. I also handicapped the performances pretty well so remember, if there is any chance to ever bet on anything NBA related, just listen to your boy AC.
By the way, can we start a letter writing campaign to get former Celtic not so great Stoyko Vrankovic on the next edition of the Surreal Life?
On to Friday's Free NBA Picks:
2-2-2 last weekend which doesn’t make any of you money, but then again, I have given you free cash all year so give me an off weekend.
Dallas -4.5 at Philadelphia:
No Webber may actually help the Sixers but the Mavs are bringing a lot of firepower and playing their best hoops of the year. Plus, Keith Van Horn is returning to Philly so will be fired up to stick it to Iverson (and by fired up I mean he might try). Take the Mavs in a blow out.
Boston at Atlanta Over 204:
We know the Celtics can’t play defense and we know the Hawks simply can’t play. Look for a run and gun game that may actually be close since Boston has decided to make things interesting. Either way, 204 should be eclipsed midway through the 4th quarter.
Memphis at Milwaukee Under 187:
Why not?
Golden State at Utah Under 200:
Seems like the thing to do.
Saturday's NBA Picks:
4-0 last night, barely surviving a 60 point fourth quarter by the Jazz and Warriors. I hope you all take your winnings and buy a nice big screen tv so you can watch your boy AC make you even more money. Just remember, I need to eat to so feel free to give a donation by way of some nice Wagercom.com paraphernalia, I hear the ladies love the mesh hat.
Miami -9.5 at New Orleans:
Shaq is big, no really, he is. I know Magloire is back but he is still not as big as Shaq.
Los Angeles Lakers at San Antonio Under 192.5:
Ugly game. Unless Kobe goes for 60, this shouldn’t be high scoring.
Denver at Portland Over 200.5:
Just hope the Jailblazers can keep up with the run and gun Nuggets. By the way, how about Telfair going for 18 and 8 assists last night?
