AC's outlook on the NBA is an entertaining original column featured here at Wagercom. If you are prone to NBA betting or even just an NBA fan, make sure you come back often to read his articles and free NBA Basketball picks against the spread. AC will be providing us with a weekly outlook during the basketball season including free NBA Basketball picks on some of the weekend games each Friday and Saturday.
Our NBA expert AC has had 3 consecutive winning seasons picking NBA games against the spread for a combined 317-281 record yielding a 53% winning percentage which would have won you money including the VIG. AC does this out of the kindness of his heart and for the naked pictures of your girlfriends you send him as a token of your appreciation. So enjoy the columns and the picks..
AC'S NBA BASKETBALL FREE PICKS WEEK 23:
In honor of every NBA team either mailing it in or just tanking, I won't be submitting a column this week. You don't have to fear though, I haven't gone Bonzi Wells on you, nor have I been Imused and fired by Wagercom.com editors (since I cherish hos of all kinds and don't denigrate them). I am merely celebrating after finding out that I am not the father of Anna Nicole Smith's kid (and what a relief that was). I'll still have picks for Friday and Saturday and then be back next week with a playoff preview.
Friday Night NBA Picks
The season is just about over and it is nearly impossible to bet on games this weekend. No idea who is healthy, who is resting, or who is even trying. You can bet with me here but buyer beware.
San Antonio -10.5 at Minnesota:
No Garnett, no way. It's that simple. Justin Reed led the Wolves in scoring last game which is the first time he has led a team anything other than minutes on the bench or clanged jump shots. The Wolves are horrible so you just have to hope the Spurs play their starters for at least 2.5 quarters. If not, it could only be a 9 point win for San Antonio.
Charlotte +10 at Chicago:
This is either a really good bet, or a really stupid bet, and I am not quite sure which. The Bobcats have been playing well since Memphis clinched the worst record in the league and Boston essentially clinched the second worst record, thus eliminating much reason to tank. The Bulls have been on fire, just decimating teams, and Charlotte at home certainly meets the qualification for a good old fashion blow out. However, the Bulls may decide to give their starters some rest and Gerald Wallace seems to be finding the game he left in last season. Take the Bobcats and hope they show up, or more importantly, hope Walter Herrmann shows up.
Utah at Dallas -6:
Ho hum. You all know how I feel about the Jazz who are only 36-29 after their 12-1 start. Again, if Dallas plays their starters, they should win by 10, so hope they do. Also hope that, Dirk doesn't think it is an important game so he will actually hit shots in the 4th quarter.
Golden Shower State at Sacramento Under 222:
You could take the Blazers +9 at the Clippers or the under 221 in the Suns-Lakers game instead but I refuse to take an over on 222 points. You just need one quarter of defense, just one. I really don't know what else to say. You just can't be sure of anything in the last week of this NBA season, except there will be tons of groupies, so bet accordingly.
Saturday Night NBA Picks:
I've said it once and I'll say it again (and maybe this time so you can hear me), THERE IS NO WAY TO RATIONALLY BET ON THE NBA RIGHT NOW, NONE. Too many players are out and too many teams are trying to lose. So be very wary of the picks tonight for what are my last regular season picks of this year.
As of writing these picks, there are 7 games and lines for only 2 of them. I have never seen anything like this. Even the best gamblers, other than me, are throwing up their hands and saying we have no idea. So I will pick the only two games I can but be very wary.
Phoenix -4 at Utah:
This will be close, and the Jazz killed me last night, but you have to stick with what got you here. Take the Suns and root for Barbosa to get hot.
Denver -4.5 at Memphis:
With a line this low it probably means Iverson, Melo, Nene, and even Michael Adams are probably sitting out for the Nuggets. That said, the Grizzlies blow like Taylor Rain in a CFF movie. Take the Nuggets and root for anyone to play.
