AC's outlook on the NBA is an entertaining original column featured here at Wagercom. If you are prone to NBA betting or even just an NBA fan, make sure you come back often to read his articles and free NBA Basketball picks against the spread. AC will be providing us with a weekly outlook during the basketball season including free NBA Basketball picks on some of the weekend games each Friday and Saturday.
Our NBA expert AC has had 4 consecutive winning seasons picking NBA games against the spread making you money including the VIG. AC does this out of the kindness of his heart and for the naked pictures of your girlfriends you send him as a token of your appreciation. So enjoy the columns and the picks..
AC'S NBA 2007-2008 WEEK 1 PICKS:
The only good thing about all the panic selling going on in the market right now is that it opens up a lot of buying opportunities, and no matter how much you lose, you can make it all back on my NBA picks against the spread.
There will be no column this week with AC's NBA Preview serving as enough fodder for days of discussion, and at over 4,000 words, enough paper for kindling to start a California wild fire (and please don't get any ideas, we here at www.Wagercom.com do not support arson, unless it is to burn down Eric Gagne's house, and even then we would have to think about it). So throw some more cash into the market, but keep some to double down tonight and tomorrow night on the NBA.
Friday Night Picks:
Milwaukee +3 at Charlotte: We're going to be selling Charlotte all year so we might as well get into the habit now. The Bobcats weakness is their frontline, and the Bucks can throw out Bogut, Bobby Simmons, Charlie Vilanueva, and even Dan Gadzooks Gadzuric. Plus who is going to guard Michael Redd? Jason Richardson and his matador D? The only risk is that Charlotte is up for this game being their home opener and all, but who goes to see NBA basketball in Charlotte unless Jeff Gordon is milking a cow or something at half time? Take the Bucks and let's pretend this game never happened.
Denver at Minnesota Over 208: Denver is going to score 150 all by themselves, which is good because the TerribleWolves are barely going to break 80. I guess you could also take Denver and give the 8.5 points but that would be too easy.
Golden State +2.5 at LA Clippers: Elton Brand, Shawn Livingston, and Ruben Patterson should help keep the Clips in this game except for the fact that they are all injured. The Warriors played the Jazz tight on opening night and they should run all over the Clips tonight. Heck we may even get a Brandan Wright sighting. Either way, watch Al Thornton, he can play this game.
Washington +7 at Boston: Yes, I am taking all road teams on opening night. The Celtics are going to win, but not by 7. Gilbert guaranteed a win for the Wizards, which means about as much as hand job from Paris Hilton, so you can take that for what it is worth. It's hard to pick against the Celtics who are going to come out with a ton of energy, but the fact is, that energy will wane in the third quarter. Plus, they still are getting used to playing with each other and last I checked Rajon Wrongdo is their only point gurd. This feels like a 5-7 point win for the Celtics at best so we're looking at no worse than a push here.
Saturday Night Picks:
Ok, AC was a bit rusty with his opening night picks. Going against the Celtics was stupid, but thinking the Nuggets would try for four quarters at the beginning of the year was not. And if you’re Golden State, how do you let Chris Kaman drop 26 on you? Really, is that physically possible? I guess we’ll just have to win all that money back tonight.
Chicago -2.5 at Milwaukee: Both teams shat the bed last night so when that happens, take the less crappy team, even if they are on the road. Luol Deng, I hope you are listening, I am counting on you to step it up and be a player. Don’t make me look bad.
Indiana at Memphis Under 212: If the Pacers play a modicum of defense tonight, this is an under. I know I have disparaged Jim O’Braindead many times in this column but his teams do play defense so let’s be crazy and bet on Jimmy O.
Portland at Houston -12: Who’s gonna stop Yao? Who’s gonna stop McGrady? Who’s gonna stop Chuck Hayes? That’s right, Hayes has been rebounding like the ball like it will go home with him and give him a blumpkin. Take the Rockets and root for them to play hard for 4 quarters.
Sacramento at Dallas Under 189: Sacramento is probably only going for 80 since they are playing without Artest and Bibby, so they just need to hold the Mavericks to 109. Root for the Kings to slow the pace down and also root for neither team to hit their shots.
