Notes from last week:

1) Vulnerable is the best word to describe the nations top teams, mediocre would be another. The ones that actually won last week escaped and the ones that didn’t, well that kinda speaks for itself. Anybody in the top six could win the national title and on any given day, and anybody in top 20 (except ASU and Wisconsin, sorry both of these teams are bad) would have a shot at the eventual title holder. For some sick reason I would love to see the Utes in the big game, but I am a closet pervert.

2) I love the BIG-10 commentators who rip the PAC-10 as soft, and say that they don’t play defense (UCLA is excused from this comparison as they brought a note from their Mommy saying they are allergic to tackling). Have we already forgotten the thrashing Michigan took in last year’s Rose Bowl, or the impressive 2-6 bowl record from last year.

Soft

3) Ohio State is a dirty program? According to Maurice “do you remember me” Clarett money, cars, and academic fraud were all included in his room and board scholarship. To think all of this took place all in the sanctity of a hallowed place of learning like The Ohio State University is just chilling. I was bewildered, bedeviled, and some other words that start with “be.” If it can happen there… could it happen at Miami? Tennessee? USC? Oklahoma? What kind of a world do we live in?

4) Wow Purdue just blows don’t they?

5) Webster’s defines a Dual threat Quarterback as: An individual who runs very fast who cannot throw a spiral or complete more than 50% of their passes against competent competition. E.g: Vincent Young is a dual threat quarterback.

Free College Football Picks:

BC @ West Virginia -7

Beating good teams is against the Eagles philosophy. You can’t go 8-4 every year without losing to the top two teams in the conference.

Texas Tech @ Texas A&M -2.5

Coach Fran is one of my all time favorite coaches. He can win with any group of losers look at his QB Reggie McNeal, can you say Vincent Young part two. The difference is A&M can give OU a game.

Georgia +5 @ Auburn

Don’t buy the Tiger hype. There’s a scared little boy playing quarterback for that team by the name of Jason Campbell. This kid has choked in almost every major game in his career why would this one be any different.

Oregon St. -0 @ Stanford

I have an unhealthy, even abusive relationship with this team. Every time I think they’ve turned the corner they kick me the ding-ding and tell me it hurt them worse than it hurt me. Well you know what, it doesn’t hurt them!

Utah -20 @ Wyoming

I love when a good team needs to humiliate a bad team to move up in the rankings. It really brings out the inner sportsman. Utes hang 50 on the Cowpokes.
