COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 3 PICKS

MIKE HARTWell at least we all now know the Big Ten sucks. That took fewer games than usual. Ohio State will have to change their strategy now that they know you actually do need to score touchdowns (who woulda thunk it). Michigan hasn’t changed their offense in twenty years and it’s starting to show. That offense is the kinda cute, kinda ugly girl at the bar, if ya got nothing else it starts to look good after awhile. After watching 8-10 games of Big Ten football Michigan’s offense looks hot. And who could forget good ‘ol Iowa (a lot of people but that’ not the point) they got smashed by Iowa State. Fun home game for you and the kids, try naming a starter at Iowa State. What can’t do it? Good news neither can anyone else. Without a decent football team I must once again demand that Iowa has its statehood revoked. So far the state’s entire contribution to the union since Dec. 28, 1846 (the date of Iowa’s statehood) is the invention and popularization of the word “yup.” This just doesn’t cut it please write your congressman you can rest assured I’ve already contacted mine.

Does OU suck or is UCLA just great at scheduling. That’s to be determined. However, it safe to say OU is a shell, and I useaDRIAN pETERSON shell as a compliment, of last year’s team. Adrian Peterson should be allowed to go pro tomorrow so at the very least he can salvage some of his season. Never thought I’d see OU and FSU unable to throw the ball, pathetic. Of course the way things were going I wasn’t so sure I’d ever see Notre Dame on TV again, except for the occasional “where are they now programs.” But what-do-you-know, ND is back in the top 10. It won’t last, but Weiss is sure a better coach than Willingham. But everybody including the family dog could have told you that. Based on last week the family dog probably could have coached a better game than TW, cause it sure would have been hard to do worse.

vINCE YOUNGMack Brown won a big game. Do not take this to heart Texas fans. However I have a theory. I don’t believe he knew OSU was a big game. Usually UT plays such daunting non-conference foes as Sister Mary’s College for the Retarded and Blind. Well shucks Macky Brown got himself up to OSU and thought “heck of lotta Texas fans wearing the wrong colors.” Closely followed by “Well shoot Mother Mary got herself some big old tards this year.” Conspiracy theory, or fact? Inquiring minds want to know.

College Football Winners This Week:

South Carolina +2 ½ @ Bama

He’s baaaaaaaaack. That’s right the man who made Phil Fulmer his personal cabana boy, and tortured Georgia fans like they do in those bad bondage film (I’m kidding of course, there is no such thing as a bad bondage film). Against the most unimaginative man in the SEC (that’s a hard title to win) you gotta take Stevo.

FSU +1 ½ @ BC

This is just a weird match up. The nice Jesuit boys of BC against the evil empire of the Crimi-noles. BC is always good for one upset. This just ain’t it. You need to be able to really throw the ball to beat FSU and that’s not BC’s thang. Upside for The Eagles is that in the long run they are much more likely to go to heaven. FSU wins the fight but BC wins the war (in a spiritual sense that is)

Miami -7 @ Clemson

They should have beaten FSU. Now the convicts have had 2 weeks to get angry, and with no reports of arrests coming from the Miami area this must be a very focused rage. I can imagine Coach Coker standing in front of his guys after the loss telling them, “I know you want to beat your girlfriends, burn stuff, steal things, but hold off because in two weeks we can beat the crap out of Baby Bowden.” This actually fits quite well into the UM theme of taking advantage of the less fortunate. If you can beat the dad kick the hell out of the son.

Tennessee +6 ½ @ UF

I love Urban Meyer but Tenn. is not going to stink the place up like they did in week one. They may lose but barring any (more) arrests the Vols have more than enough talent to compete. Side note: the ref who blew the call and the game last year was removed from this game because he received death threats. All I can say is this is despicable, the guy gave a huge game away stop making threats; the only thing people understand is action.

Purdue -7 @ Arizona

God I hate Purdue, but UA’s offense sucks enough to put half the porn industry to shame. Purdue gets their first chance to cough up a game they should win. History says this is a moronic pick and Purdue will begin their yearly descent into mediocrity, but I just can’t help myself.
