COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 5 PICKS
Wow, how bad is the Big-10? It may seem like I harp on this, but I actually thought this conference might be decent this year. You start to think Lloyd Carr is an elected official, or governmental appointee. Honestly who else could be so incompetent yet still hang on to his job (I would like to apologize to the numerous Senators that read our site, you know I’m not talking about you guys). I mean have you ever seen the Mike Brown (you know the FEMA guy who screwed up after Hurricane Katrina) and Lloyd Carr in the same room together, it’s like Clark Kent and Superman. I’m going to go out on a limb and say OU won’t suck long, copious amounts of …. Well they will be better, still a shell of what they were but I think they lose only once more this season. I would like to thank the LSU linebacker who tossed Tennessee QB Eric Ainge into the goalpost after he threw a pick for a touchdown. Not only did he do what many of us wanted to, he knocked him out of the game, and gave the Vols and one of the world’s ugliest human beings, Rick Clausen, the chance to win. I believe Ainge should be regularly tossed into the goal post head first. If there isn’t a goalpost available I would also accept a chain link fence, a truck, or a concrete wall (no stucco please). It’s good for the team, and I figure he can’t get any dumber so where’s the downside. UCLA may actually be for real, however they have a well documented abusive relationship with their fans. So many times they start strong and fade. You know the fans will go back to them and you want to tell them “you know he don’t treat you right, he’s no good” but they can’t help themselves. I’m buying them, but cautiously, they’ll definitely have to take me to dinner and a movie a few more times before I give it up.
Indiana @ Wisconsin -17 ½
Okay I’ll buy the hype (I’m not actually buying the hype). I still think they should have lost to Michigan. I can only hope the Hoosiers are as worthless as the Wolverines. However it is still notable that Wiscoo QB John Stocco couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat.
Texas -14 ½ @ Missouri
This should be a walkover. Mizzou plays one good game a year I’m assuming this won’t be it.
Baylor @ Texas A&M -22
Baylor is 3-0 that must have been fun for them. Welcome back to sweet reality.
Colorado -3 ½ @ Oklahoma State
CU can stop the run and OSU can’t pass. Two thoroughly incompetent offenses dueling to see who finishes a game or two above .500. If you actually have to watch this game you’ve done something to offend God.
USC @ ASU +17
Keller and Co. can score and so of course can Leinhart and his Bush. I would bet there will more points in this game than players arrested in the SEC this year. So you’re looking at a scoring frenzy.
Florida -3 ½ @ Alabama
Sorry I still don’t buy the Tide. Mike Shula is just like his Dad except for the whole great coach part.
Oregon -7 @ Stanford
Remember when Stanford was a joke? Don’t worry they still are.
K-state @ Oklahoma -6 ½
At home, after a bye week, the threat of a mass lynching hanging over them, ya gotta like the Sooners to win this one.
