WEEK 2 COLLEGE FOOTBALL FREE PICKS
Just a few of comments on last week…
I read four physics books this week, and guess what? It appears I can never reclaim the time I spent watching the offenses of Miami and FSU bumble around the field. To give you some perspective, I am 3+ hours closer to my grave after suffering through that debacle.
Wow Lou Holtz hates USC. Picking them to lose to Arkansas? Come on Lou I don’t like em either but, drop the friggin pompoms, wipe the spit from your chin, and come hang out in a little place we like to call reality.
Cal’s Jeff Tedford gave the impression he was a bit surprised by the hostile atmosphere at Tennessee. Jesus Jeff ! Yes you live in Berkley, but wake up and smell the vegan hummus. Its Tennessee, it’s hot, loud, and all 110,000 people in that stadium hate you like you were the one who started The War of Northern Aggression.

Oregon St. +8 @ Boise State
With Dan Hawkins off to CU it’s time to refocus the Boise faithful on trying to bring their state into the 20th century (hell they make it into the 19th century it’s lollipops for everyone), while still making sure our nations critical potato crop doesn’t suffer.
RICE @ UCLA-27.5
UCLA hates to blow people out almost as much as Rice hates not to be blown out, should be a barn burner. Nothing more pathetic than me on the edge of my seat screaming at the TV for someone to kick a meaningless field goal in a thirty point whipping between two unranked teams. This is one of the many reasons I drink heavily.
Miami (OH) @ Purdue -17
This game needs strippers (and lots of them) not cheerleaders on the sidelines, and then I might watch, I said might.
Virginia Tech -12.5 @ North Carolina
NC can cling to the fact that they at least have a great basketball team, and somehow make the gayest color blue look kinda manly. Kudos Tar Heels, see you at tip-off.
Ohio State +3 @ Texas
The Tarell Brown and Tyrell Gatewood suspensions kill me. When did the great state of Texas get so pussy? Arresting football players! Not regular useless slobs, but actual football players! For what? Just sleeping in car with a loaded gun on their lap, and maybe having some medicinal weed nearby. This is not the Texas I know and love. Come on Mack! WWPCD What Would Pete Carroll Do. To quote the Bad News Bears “let them play!”
Air force @ Tennessee -20
The Vols keep their noses clean all off season and beat a good team in the opener. I'm starting to think there might just be a correlation. Assuming egos stay in check they should crush the service academy which almost as shockingly has not gotten into trouble lately. Nobody raped or assaulted since...well who's really keeping track anyway.
Minn @ Cal -7.5
Good news is they don't have to play UT again. The bad news is they still are using Northwestern as a blueprint. Good academics, but shitty football. Fortunately the Gophers are known for both shitty academics and shitty football, advantage Cal.
