NFL Forecast & Week 12 Free Football Picks
I know, I know, you are all indebted to me, you all love me and you all want me to do naughty things with your underage daughters. When I first became a certified expert football handicapper, I was somewhat shocked by the amount of gratitude that came with giving people advice. Of course as time progressed and I became comfortable with that moniker, that title, nay that duty, I have grown more secure with the adulation.
I suppose that when you are picking 64% over the last few weeks, people will love you. And if you really think about it (I know that is hard for many of my readers) I’m not handing out picks, I am handing out money. I am like an ATM machine linked to someone else’s account. Nirvana really.
Because of the holidays I am sure that you all want to get on with your lives and not spend turkey time reading my column.
So in the Wagercom tradition I would like to say have a happy and healthy holiday except if your name is Peyton ‘I like little boys’ Manning or if you play for the Jaguars. You Jaguar players ought to be drawn, quartered, shot and posthumously sexually molested for letting the crappy (dare I say uber-crappy) Titans come back and blow that game for me. What happened to that vaunted Jag D?
And also, big ups to the Steelers, the Ravens and the J-E-T-S. You guys make an angry handicapper proud.
On to the free nfl picks…
J-E-T-S @ Cards Cards +3
How you going to front on a home dawg? And how can you even begin to front when that home dawg is playing against the drug-taking, interception-throwing, wife-beating (I am not sure if he is even married, but the meter of phrase dictated that I include a third epithet) Quincy Carter. He is useless and the Jets are somewhat embarrassing. Take the Cards.
Titans @ Texans Tejas +1.5
This pick is a corollary (or an adjunct) to the previous call. The Titans needed a last second charade to beat the Jags. The Texans are an improving squad with some real ballers at the skill positions. And again, we have a home dawg. I think the dawgs will be hungry. And look for Mcnair to get hurt early and leave.
Colts @ Lions Colts -3.5 and Over 48 Teaser
I utilize the teaser frequently in my private gambling life. I don’t often talk about it in this column. (Teasing is really a 200 level course and this is an intro class). But I am going to bet the Colts (-9.5) and then I am going to tease the Colts and the over. This one should be an unmitigated trackmeet. It is clear that either Coach Dumby Dungy wants Peyton to break the Marino record, or that Peyton, his dick-hole father and witless brother have all put so much pressure on the colts to allow him to break the record that they feel it is necessary to keep throwing late in a game against the lowly bears with a 20+ point lead. Real classy guys you managed to beat a rookie QB and a pathetic team. I hope you piss yourself. This whole episode is further proof that manning is a douche bag. Anyhow, the gambling is the oimportant thing - I think the teaser is a better bet. So y’all out there should tease away.
NFL Lock of the Week
Ray Ray @ Pats Pats -7
The Pats are rolling and now they host the normally offense-less ravens. Ahhh, but this time the ravens don’t even have Jamal Lewis. This one should be about 28-7, with the ravens defense scoring the only points for the Ray-Rays. Enjoy an easy Pats victory.
