USC @ UW +10
Don’t like leading off with this one, but SC thinks they are better than they are. They are a good team but a far cry from an elite. This one depends on which set of Huskies show up, the ones that got smoked by UCLA and the Nevada bad boys (like anyone knows there mascot) or the one that beat up on the beaver. “Ward you were a little hard on the beaver last night.”
ASU @ UCLA -3
UCLA finally gets their starting QB back. If Ware and/or Leslie play in this game UCLA should get a W and cover. Andrew Walter stays in the Heisman forgotten column.
STANFORD +10 AT OREGON
Yes I am picking the Furd. OU is in a tailspin that would make Amelia Earhardt nauseous. The furd can play a little D as shown against WSU, if their offense can hold the OU defense they might even win.
U OF A +17 @ CAL
With Mack gone the cats look like shiny happy people holding hands. Cal is coming off a tough loss, and believe it or not they are on a losing streak. Tedford makes losing look as good as anyone but the fact is they could have a similar game this week as they did last week.
MINN. -14 @ ILLINOIS
The gophers are a great pretender. They can beat up on the weak sisters of the league, but never win the big game. Illinois is a serious weak sister. Bye-bye Illini.
WAKE FOREST + 18 ½ @ FSU
I hate picking against the Noles, but they don’t put people away of late. Not like they used to. Wake was the Cinderella for a couple of weeks, but has since been used and abused. They get up for this game.
NC STATE -21 @ DUKE
I love picking against Duke. Phillip Rivers should tear them up then after the game he can ponder the Heisman that coulda been.
TEXAS TECH -3 @ MIZZOU
The tigers got torn up by OU running a similar spread Offense. Neither rain, shine, nor sleet, nor snow can stop Symons for throwing for 500yards. Could get ugly if Mizzou's offense sputters again.
ARK. + 1/ ½ @ MISS.
The razorbacks take revenge for the ambush at the swamp by those pesky gators. It’s time for them to Nutt up.
TEXAS -33 @ BAYLOR
If the opposition sucks bet on Mack Brown’s Longhorns. At the first hint of trouble the Longhorns go ostrich. Fortunately Baylor is horrible so UT rolls.
TENN. -3 ½ @ BAMA
Two big disappoints this year. I think Bama will regret firing Mike Price. The Vols are still playing for something bama isn’t.
OKLAHOMA -25 @ COLORADO
If OU makes an effort they could beat CU by triple digits. They played badly against Mizzou and still whooped them by 24. It’s fun to watch Buff Coach Gary Barnett shrivel up and die, as his team gets out hit and outplayed.
TCU -6 @ HOUSTON
TCU isn’t great but they are good enough to get by. Houston even got thrashed by Michigan. It doesn’t bode well.
